I can't believe that Baby K will be here in two months! It seems so crazy. Nick and I wanted him or her for so long and now the baby will finally be here soon. We are so excited and can't wait to be a family of four.
Well, last week at my appointment, I miraculously passed the glucose test. However, I am only semi-thrilled because I am still having blood sugar issues which are miserable. I have been doing a better job of taking care of it since I have been monitoring my sugar (with a monitor) and just trying to eat better and more frequently. When I went in for the test, I assume my sugars must have been really low (they have been getting down to 50) and then when I drank the glucola it spiked. I thought I was going to vomit and I started sweating and got really faint. I had to go into the bathroom and run cold water over my hands and face. (I was told not to drink anything, and didn't want to screw up the test, or I would have tried drinking something or eating something.)
Then, on Saturday, when I got my hair done, I almost blacked out. Again I started sweating and got very hot. But, this time, I kind of lost my vision and was seeing stars. Luckily Beti got me some ice cold water and I went into the bathroom. I was fine in about five minutes. It is just very scary. I will continue to monitor it and I will let the doctors know that I continue to have episodes.
Other than that, I am starting to feel huge. I forgot that I was this big last time (over 152 pounds at 30 weeks)! It is so crazy. I love my baby belly, but there is not a lot of room for food. Also, it is getting harder and more uncomfortable to get Jace's shoes, pants and coat on. I don't want to complain though - I love caring for my little one (well, both my little ones) and I will miss being pregnant so much when I am done.
Today we had a family get together with a ton of family on the Maupin side and Grandpa Bill. He is so excited for his 14th great grandchild!
