Last week we ran out of baby water. Well, we are not going to buy any more. Jack can drink his last few formula bottles with tap water, I suppose. It is probably meaningless to anyone but me, but it is just one small symbol that my baby is growing up. Next week he will be one and then he will be walking. We will have to take the bottle away. We will have to potty train. Everything is happening too fast!
Last week Jack was really sick again. He had a fever for two days and Nick had to take two days off work to stay home with him. W took him to the doctor (of course after his fever broke) and Dr. Amir thought he might have strep throat but that he thought it would run its course if his fever stayed gone. He gave us antibiotics just in case. We felt so bad for the poor little boy!
Jack weighed 23 lbs 5 oz. at the doctor last week, so he will be coming in nowhere close to Jace's size at one year. He is definitely finer featured. Everyone says he looks like me. I hope that is an okay thing for the little man.
We are getting ready for his birthday next weekend. I am planning to make a cake and we are going to order Aggie's. I am sure that Jace, Breck and Weston will probably be more excited than Jack (or Colby) but that is okay. I can't wait to have a wonderful time.
Speaking of which, today is Grandma Inez's birthday so Jack and Jace attempted to call and tell her "Happy birthday". Great Grandma Virginia would have shared her birthday next week with Jack and we miss her very much, too.
