Ten months old

Baby Jack has turned ten months old! He is crawling like a crazy, fast baby and he loves to move. We have been so busy lately that I have not posted, which makes me feel like a bad mother. It is a lot of work between Nick and I to care for two little ones - I can't imagine how people do it when they have three, four or ten kids! We all had the flu about three weeks ago, which made me feel absolutely terrible for Baby Jack. For the record, Chicken and Stars soup looked exactly the same coming up as it did going down. After several bottles of Pedialite, we were pretty well recovered by the time he went in for his nine month appointment (which, for the record, was just shy of him being ten months old). He weighed 21 pounds 12 ounces, but I am sure he had lost some weight with having the flu so he could very well weigh close to 23 pounds by now. Dr. Amir said he looked perfect and most of his growth was between 50-75 percentile. Dr. Amir also told us that there was no real reason to bring him in for the flu unless we were worried about serious dehydration. The flu just has to run its course. Jack and Jace have become very good friends lately. Jace wants to give Jack kisses and hugs all the time, and Jack is constantly trying to get to Jace to play with his toys. Sometimes Jace gets a little annoyed, but overall he is a wonderful big brother. And Jack is a wonderful baby brother. Jack talks a lot. He says Mama and Dada all the time. He eats mostly anything we do now, and he eats about three meals a day plus three bottles still. We are trying to get him to drink out of a sippy cup more but he is slightly reluctant. Maybe because he is our "Baby" baby we aren't pushing it to hard. Jack sleeps 12+ hours a night still, loves his Daddy, Jace, Mommy and the dogs (probably in that order). I am sad that he is almost a year but happy every day that he can interact more and more with us!
