Four month check up
Today was a wonderful day for Mommy because its my 31st birthday. Maybe it wasn't so great for Jack.
Jack went to the doctor today for his four month checkup. He was so happy! Dr. Amir even had him laughing. Dr. Amir told us we are safe to start feeding him cereal. He said it will help him sleep longer. We said that Jack sleeps 10-12 hours a night, so that is not a concern! At any rate we will probably start trying cereal this week.
Jack was 26 inches long and weighed 16 pounds 3 ounces. That is a little longer than Jace was at his 4 month appointment and about a pound lighter. He is in the 50th percentile for head circumference and weight. He is the 75th percentile for height. Dr. Amir said he was perfect!
Of course, it got worse becuase Jack had to have three shots and the rotovirus (sp?) medicine in his mouth. Nick "held" him while they did the shots and it was so sad I started to cry. Jack cried hard, too. I feel terrible having to get my kids vaccinated, but I know it is for the best.
Tonight was my birthday so Jack got to see all four of his grandparents and he was a really good kid. Happy and smiley, for the most part, but obviously tired and a little sore. Both boys happily went to bed about an hour ago and Mom and Dad are headed there now.
I posted pictures last week on our family site: http://jorgenfamily.shutterfly.com
