Jack has been a perfect baby. He is sleeping more - now about 6 hours in one stretch at night. He is not consistent, but even just getting caught up every other day or so is good for me. It much improves my mood when I am not sleep deprived.
I am now in the process of ending breast feeding. It makes me sad, but I did not intend on doing it when I went back to work. The bigger problem was that this week, my allergies kicked in. They were so bad that I couldn't sleep, and I still have a sore throat and runny nose. I have been so miserable. You are not supposed to take allergy medicine while breastfeeding, according to the warning labels. My doctor said it was "pretty safe, but might dry up your milk". I still don't feel comfortable nursing him much with medication in my system like this, so I am trying to let my milk dry up. It is hard! I forgot what it was like with Jace.
Jack has been spitting up much less, and is rarely cranky. I would guess he weighs over 11 pounds and he is almost done with Size 1 diapers. He is also almost done with 3 month clothing and will be in 6 month clothing soon.
An even bigger step for Jack is smiling! He has been smiling at us all the time and he is such a happy baby. We can't believe how cute he is, and the smiles and coos make him just that much more lovable.
Here are some cute pictures of Jack, and we have a ton more on http://jorgenfamily.shutterfly.com.
