Thirty four weeks

This week I hit 34 weeks. We only have about one month to go! I weighed in at 158.4, which means I have gained a lot of weight! I am sad about that, but I know that I need it for the baby. I haven't had Nick take my picture yet because we have been so busy.

With family and a stressful/busy work week, I haven't had much time to concentrate on being pregnant. However, I know that I love feeling the little baby growing in there! A few times this week I have literally felt (what I thought was) a 180 turn. It is so nuts. I barely remember feeling that with Jace although I am sure I did. Little Baby K is now about 5 pounds and is going to be running out of room soon. I hope he or she goes head down and stays there soon.

I am going to miss this little alien in my tummy. I can see it moving around and I have dreams that I can feel the body parts underneath my skin.

Yesterday my ankles were pretty swollen for the first time. I hope that that trend does not continue - I thought maybe I would get to bypass that stage since it is winter time. However, we have had one of the warmest winters on record with lots of days in the 50s and 60s so it doesn't even seem like winter a lot of the time. That is fine by me. I don't like driving on the ice while having to take care of babies in the car. :)

Last week we also got some clothing washed and put away in the baby's room. Jace helped but he also asks if he can have the baby's blankets. I reluctantly have to tell him no. He now says "The baby is going to come out and live with me", and still hugs and kisses my belly. I am confident that he will be a great big brother.
