We are still in the hospital right now, getting ready to leave. We are absolutely thrilled with Jack. Jace came in two nights ago and was just as thrilled as Nick and I. He said, "Is that my baby?" and "Did he come out of your tummy?" He wants to hold the baby and he loves all of the baby's things. We realize that this brotherly love will sometimes be brotherly jealousy, but that is normal, too.
Jack got circumcised yesterday, but other than a little discomfort there he has been virtually perfect. He has been doing a good job nursing and Dr. Amir already discharged him this morning. His weight is down to 7lbs 4oz. - apparently this is perfectly normal (it is normal to lose weight right away, up to 10%). I am not shocked since I have changed many dirty diapers. :) Dr. Amir wants him back up to 7 lbs 11 oz by his one week appointment.
Dr. Schneider is here now. Yay!
