38 weeks

This week we were two weeks away from our due date! Yay! I saw Dr. Vereen. He said I was measuring fine (I didn't ask the exact belly measurement, but it should be somewhere around 38cm). Unfortunately, he told us that I am still only 1cm dilated so the baby is not coming any time soon. Baby K's heartbeat was great at 150.

I also talked to my boss and HR this week. I wanted to be done working on Friday the 17th. Well, I don't think anyone was too thrilled with this proposal, so I may be staying until I deliver. I am so sore sitting in a chair all day, my back is just killing me. I am ready to be done. :(

My weight was down a little this week, I weighed 162.6 the other day. I don't have any room for food and I am very uncomfortable. I cried on the way home (after my doctor's appointment, after picking up Jace) because I am sore, having contractions, and it seems like the baby is never going to come. I know I am only 38 weeks, so I should not worry, but I feel pretty stressed out. Jace said, "Mommy, don't cry!" which makes me feel even worse! Oh, no, what a week!

Nick and I can't wait to meet our little guy or girl. We want to know if we are having another wonderful boy or if we will be the proud parents of a girl, too. Of course, we CAN wait. We want a few more days as a family of three, but we are still really ready to be a family of four (well, if you count the boys, five, six, seven, eight...).

I hope the next week and a half goes smoothly and I am able to be less stressed. I am just getting so anxious to meet Baby K!
