Baby Jack is just between one and two weeks old. He is an amazing baby! We saw Dr. Amir last week at our one week checkup. Jack has gained about six ounces, which is good. I was wrong about his weight when we left the hospital - apparently it was 7 lbs .4 ounces (not 4 ounces). He was back up to 7 lbs 6 ounces or so on Thursday. Dr. Amir said that was good. I told him that Jack does not cry too much or wake up too often. He said that was normal and try not to compare him to Jace (which I do, of course). We are trying to make sure that Jack eats every 3-4 hours even though he is sometimes content to sleep longer than that.
I haven't had a chance to get bored yet because we have had a lot of company and I have also been trying to catch up on sleep when I can. Also, I had the flu this weekend so that was not good and Nick had to take care of the boys.
Jack lost his little umbilical cord on Friday which is one less thing to worry about. He likes to eat and hates baths, so he is a a typical newborn. :) We still feel so lucky to have both of our boys here with us! We enjoy watching them grow every day.
