Today I had a great check up with Dr. Hamburger. At 24 weeks I weighed 145.4 at home but I weighed more today. The nurse said I have gained 8 lbs total, which is fine. The baby's heartbeat was a wonderful 142 and I measured right on at 25 cm.
The best part is that I got to have a 3D ultrasound! Baby K doesn't seem to look too much like Jace, but he or she sure is cute! I said, when the ultrasound tech started going around the "bottom" area, "Oh, I think its a girl!" She said, "No, we can't even see those parts yet." So, I don't know what to think.Boy or girl? I will probably watch the video several times more, but I am thinking girl now. I also think that he or she has Nick's nose and chin - but, I also thought that Jace had my nose and chin, and I still think he looks a lot like his dad.
Despite the fact that I have terrible heartburn, it doesn't look like the baby has much hair yet. (The Old Wives tale says that heartburn is caused by a lot of hair on the baby's head.) Baby K also moves a lot, which is great. It reminds me that I am about to be a Mommy 2X over real soon!
